Where are we?
We’re in the heart of Willesden’s multi-cultural community, just off Mayo Road. We’re easily accessible, situated next to a large Medical Centre, and close to local shops and transport links.

Activities, trips and events
Our two Activity Coordinators work hard to keep our residents active and entertained with a fun-packed weekly activities calendar. Our activity programme is resident-led to make sure that residents pass their time in the way that they would like. Activities include: singing and outside entertainment coming into the home, quizzes, games, Pet Therapy visits, exercise classes, arts and craft, bingo, cookery, knitting, Church services personal support from our Chaplain who is employed at Willesden Court and many more…!

We regularly take residents on trips. Recent trips have included a trip to the seaside and a tour of the lights of London. Our residents tell us what they would like to do, and we do our best to make it happen.

We regularly welcome in children from our local primary schools to join us for special occasions. Our residents really enjoy spending time with them, especially joining in a song or two.

And we love any excuse to put on a themed event. Throughout the year you’ll see events including a Valentine’s Day meal, Easter bonnet parade and summer garden parties.

Award winning music therapy
At Willesden Court we're committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia. Our trained therapist is part of our award-winning music therapy team, funded by charitable donations.

They spend a couple of days each week at the home and interact directly with residents through live music therapy sessions. This includes singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting. Take a look at our video to find out more about this life changing therapy.

Chaplaincy and pastoral support
We're proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain at Willesden Court, who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. They are is in the home several days a week, providing a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives, and staff members - irrespective of their beliefs - and organise worship for those who wish to participate. Where appropriate, residents are encouraged to maintain links with local faith communities.

Seize the day – making unique and memorable opportunities
Funded through charitable support, every MHA care home also prides itself in being able to offer unique and memorable opportunities and activities for residents to quite literally help them 'seize the day'.

In these and countless other small ways, we help nurture the wellbeing of all our residents, continuously encouraging fulfilling relationships and positive experiences.

Willesden Court offers care and comfort, compassion and friendship. At the heart of all we offer is our assurance that you will be treated with the respect and dignity that we all deserve, and if you need anything at all, we’re here to help, 24 hours a day.

Individuals with dementia and nursing care needs are encouraged to express themselves. Our highly trained staff members take the time and care to get to know each resident, talking to them and their families about their likes and dislikes and personal backgrounds and stories, in order to be able to provide the person-centred care that lies at the heart of MHA’s values.

Whether in the privacy of your own room or relaxing in the company of your friends and neighbours, we will support you to spend your time doing the things you enjoy. Let us know if it’s music, a favourite newspaper, exercise or a spot of pampering at the salon. Our secure garden invites you to appreciate the fresh air, or tend the plants, if you wish. There’s a wide range of social events, so you never need to feel bored or lonely.

Willesden Court has the latest safety and security design features so you can live life to the full with peace of mind.

“Careful thought had been given to ensure a pleasant and relaxed environment and this included having fresh flowers in the dining rooms.” Resident quote from latest CQC report

Your room

Our spacious bedrooms rooms are en suite and comfortably furnished and we have free wifi throughout the home.

You can bring your own furniture to furnish your room, such as a favourite armchair or their own bed. Walls can be personalised with their own pictures, shelving and ornaments.

Nursing care

Willesden Court provides specialist nursing care for those with long-term illness or disability where more complex medical support is required.

Our qualified nursing team are available on site 24 hours a day to provide medical and other forms of specialised support. Respecting older people and recognising each resident as a unique individual, our nurses provide not just high quality nursing skills, but truly person-centred care.

We seek to meet physical needs and frailty as they advance with ongoing nursing care. Most of all we ensure that each resident is treated with the dignity and respect that we all deserve.

Dedicated dementia-nursing care

MHA is a pioneer of person-centred dementia care in the UK.

With a reputation for providing the highest quality care, our person-centred dementia care recognises each person as a unique individual and addresses their own spiritual and physical needs, with both reassurance and support.

Everyone with dementia is different. At Willesden Court we take time to get to know each individual’s history, personality and preferences, and find ways to make every day fulfilling.

Our purpose built dementia floor at Willesden Court is designed and decorated to be safe and also as familiar, reassuring and as easy to navigate as possible. The dementia floor is secured by keypad coding to ensure that you are safe and secure at all times.

We provide ‘show and tell’ at mealtimes where you are visually presented with the two meals on the menu so you can select which one you would like. Other options are also available if you would like an alternative.

We have a secure dementia potting garden with sensory plants and water features.

Residential care

Finding a place that you can call "home" is a question of getting the right balance.

Our residential care provides 24 hour support to help residents maintain independence – giving you peace of mind and a place to make new friends and explore new interests.

In many ways it is like living in a hotel, where you don’t need to worry about laundry, changing the bed or cleaning your room. We will use the district nurse and GPs to provide any medical care. Our caring staff help with everyday activities like bathing and dressing and support at meal times.

At the same time, there is no reason why you can’t maintain links with the local community, or develop new friendships and relationships. Care staff will help you do that, while also working hard to create a home that is itself full of opportunity and possibility.

In the main living areas of the home you will find lounges where you can join in one of the many activities with others or to sit quietly with a book.

"I am very happy living here and looked after very well, the food is very good, we have good activities and the manager is very good." Independent carehome.co.uk resident review

Food and drink

Meal times are a special part of the day for you to savour tasty food, freshly cooked by our chef to suit you and any dietary needs.

Our multicultural setting is reflected in mealtime menus – enabling you to express your cultural and religious identity.

And, of course refreshments are available throughout the day for you and your visitors, who are welcome at any time.

"I am happy with the meals here. The chef checks with me what I want.”
