Finding a place that you can call "home" is a question of getting the right balance.

MHA's residential care homes provide 24 hour support to help maintain residents’ independence.

Our caring and compassionate staff will help with everyday activities like bathing or dressing. They will also provide support at meal times.

In many ways it is like living in a hotel, where you don’t need to worry about laundry, changing the bed or cleaning your room. The care home will use the district nurse and GPs to provide any medical care.

At the same time, there is no reason why you can’t maintain links with the local community or develop new friendships and relationships. Care staff will help you do that, while also working hard to create a home that is itself full of opportunity and possibility through activities and schemes such as our unique Seize The Day initiative.

You will find relaxing spaces for meeting with other residents and will discover that mealtimes offer a positive dining experience, with high quality food prepared on site.

Care that becomes friendship

Care delivered by MHA always begins with your individual needs. We will respect your personal choices and all our staff – including your individual carer – will ensure that your requirements are met.

Supported by local volunteers, we make available a range of weekly activities and the chance to go on outings.

Our Chaplains provide pastoral support whenever it is required, and worship services for those who wish to participate. Above all, because we value each individual for who they are and what they bring to our homes, we aim to offer you not just care, support and opportunity but friendship too.
