Where are we?

We are located in Chippenham in Wiltshire. Our home overlooks a golf course and it has many amenities nearby including a pub and a supermarket. Chippenham train station is less than 2 miles away and the cities of Swindon and Bath are within easy reach.

A variety of fun activities

We’ve a schedule of optional events and activities, helping residents to explore their interests and discover new ones. Along with armchair exercises, gardening and baking, there’s also flower arranging, arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes and church services. We also have a dedicated chaplain and offer music therapy for our residents living with dementia.

Local singers and musicians often come in to perform, and together with regular trips out there’s never a dull moment.

Award winning music therapy

We are committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia. Our trained therapist is funded by charitable donations. They spend a day each week at the home and interact directly with residents through live music therapy sessions. This includes singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting. Take a look at our video to find out more about this life changing therapy.

Chaplaincy and pastoral support

We are proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. The chaplain provides a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives, and staff members - irrespective of their beliefs - and organise worship for those who wish to participate. Where appropriate, residents are encouraged to maintain links with local faith communities.

Seize the day – unique and memorable opportunities

Funded through charitable support, every MHA care home also prides itself in being able to offer unique and memorable opportunities and activities for residents to quite literally help them 'seize the day'.

Privacy and independence, friendship and support - 24 hours a day

We offer care and comfort, compassion and friendship at our care home in Chippenham. At the heart of all we offer is our assurance that you will be treated with the respect and dignity that we all deserve, and if you need anything at all, we’re here to help, 24 hours a day.

Whether in the privacy of your own room or relaxing in the company of your friends and neighbours, we will support you to spend your time doing the things you enjoy. Let us know if it’s music, a favourite newspaper, exercise or a spot of pampering at the salon. Landscaped gardens invite you to appreciate the fresh air, or tend the plants, if you wish. There’s a wide range of social events, so you never need to feel bored or lonely.

We have the latest safety and security design features so you can live life to the full with peace of mind.

Your room

We encourage our residents to furnish their own rooms as they wish. This could be as simple as hanging a couple of their favourite pictures on the wall, but you are also welcome to bring your own comfy chair, or anything that makes you feel at home. The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable, happy and settled.

All bedrooms have an en suite wet room with toilet and sink. Some rooms also enjoy lovely garden views, and there’s WiFi throughout the home.

Residential care

Our residential care is all about providing a special kind of home from home. It’s our way of making sure your loved one continues to live life to its fullest and remains as independent as possible. It means they can get out and about when they want to, catch up with friends or pop to the shops, but with the added security and peace of mind that comes from knowing 24-hour support is available if they need it.

Our team are on hand to offer just the right amount of care, giving those who need it support with activities such as bathing, dressing and mealtimes. Without having to worry about cooking meals, washing clothes or getting the hoover out, you’ll see your loved one truly enjoying life and exploring their full potential.

Residential dementia care

We’re proud to be recognised for our pioneering approach to dementia care, which is carefully built around each individual. Our dementia care facilities here are second to none, and specially designed to provide a reassuringly familiar, engaging and warm environment for those living with us. We have dementia friendly decor and bedroom doors have memory boxes to assist your loved one to find their room.

Residents enjoy music therapy and reminiscence activities designed to stimulate social interaction and alleviate the feeling of isolation associated with dementia. We’ve recently introduced an interactive magic table. This motion-activated sensory projection offers a different kind of fun, helping to stimulate, engage and relax the mind.

Food and drink

Mealtimes are an important part of the day here, giving our residents the opportunity to get together and enjoy freshly prepared food in a relaxed restaurant-style environment. We always offer two meal options and our chefs will happily prepare something special if nothing on the menu appeals.

All dietary and religious needs are catered for and produce is locally sourced whenever possible. Snacks and drinks are available 24 hours a day and relatives are welcome to join residents for meals.
